I planned on making my New Year's Resolutions early this year, but then I thought - "Dare to be different." St. Paddy's Day and New Year's are so similar anyway, what with the beer and cabbage and all, and I wanted to make sure I got it right.
Last year I came out of the gate a little strong. I think I said something about finding a daytimer I liked and sticking with it. Ha! That lasted about as long as it took for me to get in the car and head to Staples. Right now, I have 14 2007 daytimers - 3 of which are exactly the same. It's an addiction. However, I said I would buy purses, and I did. You win some, you lose some.
This year, I resolve to:
- NOT shave my head. I actually planned this before that idiot blonde did her little trick. I have FFP - Follicle Failure Phobia - so I really doubt this will be a hard one to keep.
- I will NOT eat a Bison Burger. Several local restaurants are serving these now, and for the life of me I cannot figure out why.
- I will be nicer. To someone. Eventually.
- I will not sing in public. For that matter, I won't do anything else in public either.
- I will sell one thing on eBay (kids don't count).
- I will learn to make my Grandmama's chicken and rice casserole. Of course it won't be as good as hers, but it's my favorite, so I might as well learn. SH certainly isn't rushing out to do it. (He claims brain surgery, but that's really just an excuse).
- I will stop underestimating FrogBoy. This needs no explanation for anyone who has ever met him. If not, I hope you can - he's an amazing kid.
- I will spend no more than 6 months (8 tops) obsessing on the fact that I am very swiftly approaching 40. Not as swiftly as some (read: SH and The Professor), but I'm getting there.
- I will listen to a little bit of 80s every day. Duh.
- I will watch Rocky 1-4 at least 1 time each. This shouldn't be hard. When TNT isn't the Law & Order channel, they are the Rocky channel. I have already seen Rocky (the first) twice and Rocky III once. No Russian yet, but I expect him to make an appearance any day.
- I will blog more. This will require me getting a laptop so I can blog from my bed. I really have to work on that.
- I will locate my waist.

You are my hero! I hope that you compile your blogs one day and turn them into a great book.
There's no need to get all personal about the 40 thing. And the 14 daytimers, that's just a sickness.
